Reinstall after HW upgrade?

I am planning on upgrading cpu and mb, should I need to reinstall XP Pro?

I'd like to say NO....but the answer is maybe. Depends how different the
chipsets are. I have had it work perfectly on some occasions and BSOD on
others. In any case back up your stuff.

Yes, you should do a "repair install". This allows XP to recognize the
new hardware and a new mb has a lot of that.

I suppose the best precaution (was going to do it anyway) if full data
backup.
Mainly I was trying to get an idea as to the required time.
I suppose for that I should follow general rule - allow enough not to have
to rush it.
