| I had to re-install Windows XP home on the same drive but to a folder named "WINDOWS2" All is working well and I have reinstalled many programs... can I safely delete the old "WINDOWS" folder without causing the new install problems booting up? The system presently treats things like a dual boot setup and prompts me on startup to choose one. Also this new install seems to have overwritten the "My Documents" folder and I lost everything in there... or did I? Is there a way I can recover those files? Thanks so much for any help | Guest

| Yes you can delete the parallel installation. Make sure that your boot.ini is pointing to the proper install as its default or you wont boot. As for the My Documents, check for a profile name with a .000 after it. That should be your old profile. Joseph W.
