Reliability and Performance Monitor

Posted: 02-24-2007, 08:57 AM
Hi all,

Does anyone know how to clear the " Reliability and Performance Monitor"
logs. I know it keeps a record of problems etc from date of install, but
what if a user wanted to reset this figure to todays date, i.e to check a
new apps compatibility issues, or something like that.

Just right click on Performance in left pane and choose option to clear log.

Hi,

The logs (.dat files) are kept in the following folder:

C:\PrograData\Microsoft\RAC\PublishedData

I don't know if clearing those files cause any side-effects, as I've not yet tested it fully. If you plan to experiment at it, be sure to backup those files first.

reliability and performance monitor
Posted: 07-12-2007, 04:04 AM
Hello,
The reliability and performance monitor quit updating on 05/30/07. The
system stability chart(all dates) end on 05/30/07. I upgraded to Vista on
05/05/07. Haven't experienced any major problems since the upgrade. What
could be the problem?
Thanks!

I am not on a vista machine now however I am sure it has to be a service.
Check to see it is
enabled. Change to MANUAL - REBOOT go back to Services and set to ENABLE and
reboot.
This should reset the registry entries to start the service.
