Remapping or Hooking some buttons of Remote Controller

Hello, there.

I would like to remap some buttons as below of Remote
Controller of WinXP Media Center Edition.
I am working on a demo application that has
functionalities of multimedia player/recording on DirectX.

For the demonstration, we need to make some buttons
respond for our demo application only, not for the
original action.

For example, pushing "My TV" button, a specified button
of our demo app should receive the event, but the "My TV"
session of Media Center should not run.

A question more appropriate for groups(s)

microsoft.public.windows.mediacenter and/or
microsoft.public.windows.mediacenter.hometheaterpc

I've never used Media Center XP myself but in reading over there ^^ they
seem to know what they're talking about.
