| I have Vista Business. This is a personal machine, so there is no domain controller or anything else enforcing policies. In the local security policy, under Local Policies / Security Options, I have the following: Interactive Logon: Do not display last user name = Disabled Interactive Logon: Do not require CTRL + ALT + DEL = Disabled So I have to press Ctrl+Alt+Del to login. However, the icon for "Admin" (an administrator user, not the built-in Administrator account) is always selected by default, even though I (almost) always log in as "Mark" (a standard user). From the above settings, I would expect the last user to log in (Mark) to be selected by default. Is there any way to get this to happen? I tried setting the "Do not display last user name" to Enabled, and that turns the login to one where you have to type both the username and password, and nothing is filled in for the username. What I would really like is to have the text-based login (type username and password), but with the username filled in with the last used, so it is only necessary to type the password - that's how I used to have Win2k set up. If that's not possible, get the icon-based login to select the last user by default, so I can just press enter (to select the user) and type the password. At the moment, I have to select a different icon before entering the password, since the one selected is not usually the one I want to log in with, or type the username in full if using the text-based login. Thanks, Mark. | Guest
