Remove print from list

Posted: 02-10-2004, 01:13 PM
Hi.
I have installed an HP LaserJet 4100 PS through a TCP/IP
port. One document got stuck in the printing queue and I
cannot get rid of it. I cancelled, stopped and restarted,
cancelled and reboot etc and it is still sitting in the
queue.
I cannot even uninstall the printer because there is a
job in the queue...
I have installed a second copy of the printer so I can
use it again, but I want to get rid of the duplicate and
of the useless job and task. Besides, it can happen again
with the new copy.
I mount Windows XP Home.
Any help's welcome.

I don't know if this will help, but I read in a reply to someone's
earlier posting about problems removing a print job from the que that
you need to cancel the print job, leave the printer and computer on and
WAIT as long as FIVE minutes for the data to be removed. It said
something like the spooler sends the print job data to the hard drive
for storage so that rebooting is useless since the spooled print job
data is still on the hd after rebooting. Maybe that will work for you.
