Removing Vista Boot Manager...

Posted: 06-20-2006, 03:30 AM
I have two hard drives, one with my Windows XP Pro install and I installed a
new drive to put vista on. I booted from the vista dvd and partitioned and
formatted the new drive and installed vista on it. I did not realize it would
put its boot manager on my xp drive because I wasn't thinking logically.
Hence, it has to go onto drive one. I would like to start over and install
vista on the 2nd drive but without having my xp drive in the machine. This
way both drives have their own manager, but I can select them in my bios boot
menu. Is it possible to remove the vista manager without losing my xp
install? Or should I expect to have to reinstall xp and vista?

Any help would be appreciated.
