| I'm running Vista Home Premium and on a wired network. I actually renamed another PC on Vista without any issues prior to this, so I'm not sure what's going on. I renamed the PC, restarted it as it requested, and opened my network folder to verify the change I made to the name. The new name shows up, but the old one does too (on both the newly-renamed computer and when checking the network folder on the other computer). I can't double-click on the old network name - it gives me an error message that the path doesn't exist (as it shouldn't), but there are several computers on this network and I don't want anyone to get confused....... So is there any way to delete this old PC name????? | Guest

| I have noticed that shuch changes sometimes take a long while to propogate through even a small network (i.e. just two machines - mine). You might just give it some more time. Also found that 'refresh' (right click option) sometimes speeds the process up, sometimes not.
