| if i set up a new user account as John Smith and then later on rename it to John Doe, the new name is reflected on the user login screen and the user accounts section of the control panel but the folder in "documents and settings" remains with the original name (in this case John Smith). How can I rename a user account and also rename all associated folders and other info within Windows XP? | Guest

under DOCUMENTS AND SETTINGS. Logon as the Administrator and copy over your account to this new account from the Control Panel > System > Advanced > User profiles > Settings. Test the new account and if all is well delete the old account. -- (tm) | Guest
