Greetings --

One of the recent "hotfixes" for OE causes the file to be created
when you update the address book. It's just a duplicate copy of the
address book and can be safely deleted. A permanent fix is in
development.

There is a damaged or wrong version of the wab32.dll caused by update
Q330994

You can uninstall the updates OR

Step-by-Step Resolution:

Windows XP :

Rename the wab32.dll in Both
- The Dll cache and
- C:\Program Files\Common Files\System

Note: The dll cache must be renamed first, or the wrong version of wab32.dl
will be
restored.

1) Rename the wab32.dll in DLL cache

The dll cache is normally in :

C:\WINNT\system32\dllcache
or
C:\Windows\system32\dllcache

note: The Dll Cache is hidden
must deselect Hide Protected operating system files from Folder options

2) Rename the wab32.dll in C:\Program Files\Common Files\System

3) after Renaming the wab32.dll in C:\Program Files\Common Files\System
system file protection will attempt to restore the file from the windows XP
CD (you
will be prompted for it)

Note: If System File protection does not prompt for the windows XP CD you
will have
to manually extract the file from the windows XP CD

To manually extract the file perform the following :

a. Click Start, click Run, type cmd (without the quotation
marks), and then click OK.

b. Type "<CD-ROM drive>:" (without the quotation marks), and then press
ENTER, where <CD-ROM drive> is the letter of your CD-ROM drive.

c. Type CD I386<ENTER>

d. Type expand wab32.dl_ c:\wab32.dll

e. Close the command window.

f: Copy the file from C:\wab32.dll to C:\Program Files\Common Files\System
