Yes, someone here can explain that to you but it would be
helpful if you explained what you are trying to accomplish.
1) You have to have the jumpers on the drive set
correctly, 2) The drive has to be configured in the BIOS
correctly, 3) You have to either create a partition on the
drive (using FDISK) and format the drive or have the
Windows XP or Windows 2000 installation disk do this for
you, 4) You have to install the operating system
(Windows), 5) You have to setup your internet connection,
6) You have to install anti-virus and anti-spyware
software, 6) You have to install the programs that you
want, 7) etc. etc. etc.
Or you can copy everything from the old hard drive onto
the new one and NOT have to do the above steps. Please
provide more information.
