Reset Print Options?

Posted: 12-20-2006, 10:08 PM
Is there a way to automatically reset the print options after a print job?

For example, a user opens a 1-page document and prints 5 copies (5 pages are
printed). She then closes the document (Word remains open), opens a 10-page
document and then clicks the print button on the toolbar thinking that only 1
copy will be printed. Instead, 5 copies are printed (50 pages).

Is there a way to have the print options (number of copies, collated,
stapled, etc.) reset back to defaults automatically after a print job is
complete?

Thanks.

To my knowledge, no. Once the application has been closed, the printer will
return to it's defaults, however, any changes made to the print settings
within an application will remain in effect until they are manually changed,
or the application is closed.
