The free WinXP PowerToy Image Resizer will do
everything you request...but it *will* alter your EXIF
info.

Go to the following link and download and
install: ImageResizer.exe

http://tinyurl.com/36n

Then you can open any folder that contains
images and you will have an option to resize.
Just right click the selected image files and
choose Resize Pictures. You can select one
image or a whole group.

The program will place the resized copies in
the folder with your originals.

Also you may find the following freebie
to be useful:

Exifer for Windows

Would be nice to have such, but I don't know anything that will meet all
your requirements, particularly including the last one (keep the Exif file)
with the first one (Right click). Everything available is in between.

Thanks, John...

Why doesn't MS just release a version of the powertoy that has the EXIF
thing fixed??? That's so annoying. But, it's the only simple tool I've
found. The only other thing it's missing is the ability to alter the
quality (compression) of the output image...

There isn't anything else out there???

Thanks!

Derek

LOL! I have no clue about the intentions of MS.

Well, you would not have the right click feature...
but IrfanView is a neat program.

IrfanView 3.85

(get the plug-ins too)
