Default resizing-kb size does not change

When I resize images, the kb amount does not change
unless I click into properties, summary then ok. Does
anybody know how to get the correct kb reading to
register automatically? Thanks.

What program are you using to resize the images
and how are you reading the size information?

Maybe pressing F5 would refresh the thumbs.

I'm using paint to resize the pictures. Refreshing
doesn't help.

I don't know what would cause the problem.

Try this:

go to...Start / Run and type:

"REGSVR32 SHIMGVW.DLL"
(without the quotes)(Yes, there's
a space between 2 and S)

Click...OK.

Also, try using the PowerToy ImageResizer
or IrfanView.

I guess you're running WinXP or you wouldn't
be here...right?

OK, go to the following link and download and
install: ImageResizer.exe

http://tinyurl.com/36n

Then you can open any folder that contains
images and you will have an option to resize.
Just right click the selected image files and
choose Resize Pictures. You can select one
image or a whole group.

The program will place the resized copies in
the folder with your originals.

Here's the link for the excellent freeware IrfanView:

IrfanView 3.85
http://www.tucows.com/preview/194967.html
(get the plug-ins too)
