Restore user accounts from back-up file

Default Restore user accounts from back-up file

I backed up from vista home basic to a remote drive. Installed (not upgrae)
vista ulitmate. Can I get my old user profiles back?

You won't necessarily have all of your application settings work, but
you can certainly copy the contents of that profile folder into your
new profile. Your original MyDocs, Favorites, and etc should all be
available after you copy them to the <DriveLetter>:\Users\username
folder, overwriting the existing (new) folders.
