Resume from Hibernation fails

I built a computer with an asus 87v8x mobo, via kt400
chipset, 256 mb pC2700 ram, 350w allied psu, mx440-8x PCI
video card, running XP pro. I have updated the bios to
the latest version and have updated all the drivers for
the system through microsoft update. My computer resumes
from standby, but hangs when I try to resume it from
hibernation. I am not sure if it has anything to with
it, but I plugged a usb keyboard into one of the back
ports an it would not recognize the device. Does anyone
have any ideas of how to fix it. THanks.
