Risk Assessment?

Posted: 10-14-2006, 04:16 PM
I find myself without sufficient space on my Vista partition for an upgrade
from RC1 to RC2.

As I have XP installed in a different partition (dual boot w/Vista) with
Partition Magic installed, I'm thinking of using PM to increase the size of
my Vista partition. My take on risk is that NTFS is NTFS and it should work
OK.

Any different experiences/opinions?

TIA!

Don't do it on a production or primary home computer.

Sorry, I should have explained that the PC in question is neither of the
above. I was hoping to encounter somebody who had used Partition Magic on a
partition with Vista installed.

Heh!
Tried it and Partition Magic won't touch the Vista partition with a ten foot
poll (to modify it, that is). Guess I'll have to bite the bullet and do some
formatting.
