| I have some programs that are set to run as an administrator. Most work ok. But those that installed with a SHORTCUT on the desktop won't start as an admin. I have to start the program via it's icon in its program folder. Am I missing something? | Guest

When you right click on the shortcuts on the desktop, do they have the option "Run as administrator" to check in the Compatibility tab? If not, you might try to right click the program in the program folder and click "Send To" > "Desktop (Create Shortcut)" to see if that shortcut will work instead. Here is a way to see a list of programs that are in compatibility mode and what they are set for. EX: Run as administrator. It could come in handy while your doing this. http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/63...-programs.html Shawn -- brink *There are no dumb questions, just the people that do not ask them.* _http://www.vistax64.com/ (\"http://www.vistax64.com/\")_ *Please post feedback to help others.* | Guest
