Run box and Memory Sticks

Posted: 06-03-2004, 11:11 PM
Have a little problem I hope
When I put in my memory stick [64mg] It doesn't show up unless i take it out
and put it in then it shows up in the folder side but not the other.
Would it have something to do with the run box when i open it the drop box
shows web addresses instead of what i previously put in.
any ideas
Thanks and your help is right on the money and appreciated
Bruce

This has nothing to do with your Run box MRU and it is common to have typed
URL's listed there. To clear (if you are interested):

This process works and clears them from run also:

Clear IE History, AutoComplete, Clear the TIF, Clear the RunMRU, Typed URL's
and Clear List (depending on which Start Menu you are using): Right click
the Start button/Properties/Customize/Advanced/Recent Documents/Clear List.

Typed URL's: Start/Run/Regedit: Open your registry and find the key below
and delete any value you want to remove.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\TypedURLs

A small utility I created that clears certain History Lists

Clear Recent File Lists - Includes Search and Run Menu (Line 41)
