runtime error

I play fantasy football on Yahoo and my Stat tracker will
not load. If I install the recommended Java I get a
runtime error on line 193. Any help would be
appreciated...I would like to get it fixed for football
Sun.

Depending on when the xp cd was issued, you can go to run,
type:jview
If specs show up you have microsoft vm java already.

Lydia, go to Start/Run and type in "wjview" without the quotes. If it shows
you less than build 38.10 of the VM, take a look at this web page for
details and download locations:
http://www.mvps.org/inetexplorer/answers_9.htm#java The StatTracker works
fine on my machines, it is my fantasy players who aren't doing well. 8-)

Hi Eddie,

That error is usually caused by a software conflict. Maybe
it's a program that you have running. Maybe it's something
as obscure as a printer driver as Chris H mentioned in one
of his posts awhile ago. So, let's troubleshoot your system.

Rather than go through one step per post with you, I find it's
best to present all the troubleshooting steps I use in one post.
Start with the first one, and post back with any questions! :-)

1. To see if it's a software conflict: Temporarily disable Startup
programs one at a time, starting with Firewall, Antivirus, and ad
blockers using: http://new.jtsoft2001.com/windows/startup.php

You can lookup what a program does before you disable it here:
http://www.pacs-portal.co.uk/startup...artup_full.htm

2. Run a virus scan at: http://housecall.antivirus.com Afterwards
Download & Run Spybot from: http://security.kolla.de to find any
Trojans, Adware, or Spyware which could clog up your system.

3. Click My Computer / Rightclick the Drive & Choose Properties
/ Run the "Disk Cleanup..." / Next Click the "Tools" Tab and run
the "Error-Checking" and "Defragmentation" utilities.

4. Go to the Windows Update site for everything under Critical and

Have you updated your video drivers? That's the first thing, and then...

C++ errors are usually caused by software or driver issues.

Maybe it's a program that you have running. Maybe it's the
new device or driver that you installed on your system. If you
recently installed printer drivers, chipset drivers(VIA especially),
or a new video card this could be the cause of your problem.

So, if you set your BIOS to 4X or 8X AGP recently or installed
new software or hardware, that should be your very first suspect.

1. To see if it's a software conflict: Temporarily disable Startup
