Posted: 03-25-2007, 10:46 AM
Hi,
I connect a S-Video cable to the TV but i don't see anything on the TV (of
course after selecting the correct channel on the TV).

Has anything to be done on Vista (installing SW ....)?

Regards

Channel?
S-Video is a INPUT on my TV's (plural), The TV can be on any Channel
when I switch to S-video input and remains on that channel when I
switch back to the tuner input.

I had to Boot Vista with the s-video cable in place and the TV powered
on to just "enable" the S-video out on my FX5200. All that done, I
still had to set the Video (card) properties to tell Vista to "Output"
something to that output.
Your Graphics package may include a special tray, "control panel", to
make these settings easily.

Lastly, your TV may be fighting you if you have multiple input types
and locations. My TV uses "shared" input connections. I can use the
Front or the Back for ONE Input menu choice, I can use S-Video or
Component input for the other menu choice. If I leave a CABLE plugged
in, one input takes priority over the other in the same group. (The
combination I ended up most wanting to use :/ , and not obvious in the
store)
