Safari https connections (after newest security patch)

Posted: 12-08-2003, 05:07 PM
Since applying the 5-Dec-03 security patch to MacOS-10.3.1, Safari
punts on connections to https sites. Is there a workaround for this?

Thanks,

By "punts" do you mean it doesn't work? Because it does.

You could try re-installing Safari, perhaps.

Are you behind a proxy server?

The problem seems to have been corrupted cookies. Running the
pre-patch Safari fixed it, and I was then able to use the post-patch
Safari to connect to https sites.

I could use some help here, too.
Mine doesn't just punt, mine stopped loading. Immediately after
installing the security patch, I started getting warnings that Safari
was "not complete" and wouldn't load. I de-installed, downlaoded the
installer and launched it. Now the installer says I cannot install
Safari on my hard drive.

So I'm completely sans Safari.

Any help?

Thanks in advance,
Vijay R.
