SATA Drives

Hi, I am trying to set up a new SATA hard drive and in
the BIOS of my Gigabyte MoBo it offers a choice of
either "Base or Raid". I know about "Raid" but can anyone
please tell me what "Base" is all about?

Basic driver as appossed to raid driver, Ensure you have sata drivers on a
floppy in case you need for reinstall/repair using F6 option in Win
setup/repair from disk
