scan source not recognized by software

with a RAID 0 setup. Everything was great until I tried
to scan some photos. I have a old zerox XK35c all-in-one
printer/copier/scanner. The printer driver installed just
fine. So then I installed the TWAIN scan drivers supplied
by the manufacture, Zerox.
After installing the TWAIN drivers none of my scanning
software (i.e. microsoft photo editor, scansoft, etc.)
can detect a scan source. Just like I never installed the
drivers in the first place. Photo Editor gives me the
error, "TWAIN Cannot open data source, Please reinstall
your scanner software." If I disconnect my new SATA
drives and reconnect my old IDE ATA drive (where I also
had Windows XP), the scanner is recognized no problem.
I tried switching the between USB and a parallel port
cable, no go. I tried pulling all cards out except the
video card, no go. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling
all scan related software, no go. I tried old drivers,
i.e. W2k, no go...
I checked to make sure the drivers and scanner source
files are where they are suppossed to be (ie, windows and
twain_32 directories), and all checks out fine. Something
is blocking the software from seeing the scan source...
Zerox support is non-existent. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance, Mark
