Default scheduled tasks

trying to get organised...just downloaded latest Winodws update Beta / Vista
which probably has nothing to do with my query.

Trying to schedule a number of different tasks so that the likes of
defragments, disk clean up etc happen without me having to remember. For
some reason, it asks me to set a password. When I do this it then gives me a
message saying that I do not have permission to perform the requested
operation, i.e schedule any tasks

What password is it looking for??? How can I get round this problem. I am
the admininstrator for our computer. How do I find out what it wants.

I just wish computers did much more for themselves automatically, as a non
techie over the years no matter what I do...it never seems to be enough to
get it to opeerate smothly!!!

Default RE: scheduled tasks

Do you have UAP enabled even though you are Admin UAP may be the bit which is
not allowing you access. Do you have to click on your user name and enter a
password before reaching the desktop? Just areas to look at especially if
there are several user accounts with passwords.

Default Scheduled Tasks

In Windows XP my tasks were saved in C:\Windows\Tasks. I included this folder
in my daily backup. Where are my tasks saved in Vista RTM? Thanks in advance.
