| John, I'm no expert on this, so take this with a grain of salt, but if by "seeing" you don't mean, as I'm assuming that you don't, that someone standing over your shoulder won't be able to see an active screensaver that YOU can see ;-) What I assume you DO mean is that they don't have access to the screensaver to use it themselves and I believe the answer is that it is possible, but only if you don't mind starting the screensaver manually each time (in other words, if you don't mind that the screensaver doesn't start up by default--apparently all screensaver files have to be in the Windows\System32 folder to be selected as the default screensaver, and I know of no way to turn off sharing and turn on security at the file level). So, if you're willing to turn on the screensaver each time you want to view it, you can copy the screensaver to a folder that has been marked private (right click on the folder and select "Sharing and Security", then under the "Local sharing and security" section select the "Make this folder private" checkbox and press the OK button). Now you can create a shortcut to the screensaver where ever you'd like (deskstop, start menu, quick launch menu, etc) and start the screensave whenever you'd like to view it. I believe this will probably get you what you'd like. -- Chad John Hamm wrote: Quote:

| John, You can create a shortcut to the screensaver (*.scr file) in the Windows\System32 directory which will, when selected, activate the screensaver. To configure the screensaver (to select which options you want for it) explore the Windows\System32 directory and right click on the screensaver file and select "Configure". Does this do what you want? -- Chad John Taucher wrote: Quote:

| Hi Denis After you have downloaded the screensaver, put it in the %systemroot%\system32 folder. It will then show up in the 'screensaver' options Will "dennis" <goose45@onebox.com> wrote in message news:00f001c35480$9ef3f100$a601280a@phx.gbl... Quote:
