Screen Saver Won't Start

I just rebuilt my computer and installed Vista on it. Everything was working
fine until I installed the MS Optical Wireless Mouse 2000. Now my
screensaver won't start. I've done all of the updates including the
"Microsoft HID Non-User Input Data Filter". My screensaver still won't
start. Anyone have any ideas? The hardware configuration is an ASUS
motherboard, 2 gig memory, Nvidia 9750 graphics cards , a Western Digital 250
gig SATA harddrive, MS Keyboard, Wireless Mouse 2000, and a Sony Flatpanel
monitor. The only software installed is Windows Vista premium, MS Office
2007 (Student Edition), Nero 8.0, and Zone Alarm for Vista.
