| Sometimes I feel that I am the only person who is organized with their files. I don’t have a good memory, but if I don’t know whether or not I have a file, I always know where to look for it. This is because my files are organized consistently. Whenever I help a friend with some problem on their system, I often find people dumping all the files they have into either My Documents or the Desktop. When they look for those files, I see them scrolling the "Open" dialog window one column at a time and parsing the names for what they are looking for. So is desktop searching meant for this crowd? It seems so to me. I used Vista Beta 2, and I found that I had to search for a file anytime I wanted. Why is it now SO HARD to navigate to my files. Windows Explorer has been gutted! Instead of adding functionality for increased ease of use and navigation, I get a tall column for my "Favorite Searches", and below it a tiny opening that contains the folder tree. This isn’t helpful. Are the organized power users like me being left out of the picture? Does anyone feel the same way? | Guest
