| Hi guys, I can see that now on vista, you have different sections in the security center. One of them is called "Other Security Settings". I would like to add a program in this list, and I wonder how to do it (and I imagine that there are a few APIs also). Can you advise me ? Regards -- Frédéric ESNOUF (MCSE - ISA MVP) | Guest

| After loading Vista, security center was running ok, but suggested I get a virus program. One of its suggestions was Norton, so I went to their web site, bought norton antivirus, downloaded it and installed it. It's not working right and I'll try to work with them to resolve that. After the installation I noticed that security center had been shut off and I'm not able to turn it back on. Any ideas on how to turn security center back on? | Guest

I believe Windows security Center will be replaced by Norton Security Center when your installation completes. -- Jim | Guest

| This is what I recieved from Symantec for the same problem: This issue can occur due to corrupted Norton program files. In order to resolve this issue, I request you to uninstall the corrupted Norton program using Norton Removal Tool, update your Norton 2007 product to the latest 2007.2 version and then reinstall it. Please refer the document web site link provided below for detailed instructions: Title: 'How to uninstall and reinstall your Norton products' Document ID:2005033108162039 Quote:

Worked for me. Wish though that I had saved my $s and gone with something free or cheaper. "gonzoturtle" <gonzoturtle@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:63D32E56-DF2C-408C-A8CF-53485F0D9159@microsoft.com... Quote:

| Kirk thanks for the insight, i have the exact same problem and will try it out. I was given a link from symantec for the lates norton but it still didn't work, i kept getting an error code when norton was configuring saying virus definitions could not be migrated. I can't wait for these bugs to be corrected "Kirk" wrote: Quote:

| I am running windows vista home premium but every anti virus i have installed including the ones recommended in the security center by MS has told me none can be found. Is this a problem with the security center and can it be rectified. My current security is Bullguard internet security which is up to date but it still shows the same thing. and it is updated for vista , my pc is 32bit. Any suggesions please | Guest
