| I just uninstalled a early beta of Symantecs Genesis Norton 360 from my Windows Vista Pre-RC1 build 5536 as it wasn't working properly. Now Windows Vistas Security center isn't turning back on, obviously it was due to the program disabling it. The error i get when I go into Windows Vistas Security Center is it says "The Security Center service is turned off." I click the "Turn on now" button and it gives me a pop-up window saying "The Security Center can't be started.". I've only just installed so I have no system restore points or anything. Can anyone give me advice how to re-enable it maybe some registry fix or somthing ?. Much appreciated any help | Guest

| Go through the registry using the "Find" or "Find "Next" tool, search out every reference to "Norton" and "Symantec" separately, and delete all of them. Or simply reformat the drive and reinstall Vista. This may actually take less time, and since it is only a test computer, may be the best option. Not only is Genesis 360 only for XP, it also specifically is not to be installed in conjunction with any other Norton or Symantec software. This was very clear in the release notes for the Beta testers. "Anthony M" <AnthonyM@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:6EC01D2E-08C6-404B-A6F8-8B70445CA5D0@microsoft.com... Quote:
