Security Question

Posted: 10-25-2005, 01:42 AM
Hi, Ima wonderful linux nooby...

When i boot up and enter grub, i get 3 choices of a boot up. One is
called "Failsafe"

I installed cups and afterward i couldnt boot my machine up, so i went
into my manual and used 'chkconfig' to stop 'cups' from starting.

"Woe, I am getting good!" i said to myself as my machine booted
right up.

Then it occured to me, "anyone can trash my machine by entering
"Failsafe" from the grub menu".

Is this true? Oh No, what do i do? how do i prevent this potential hazard
from happening to me, the wonderful linux nooby?
