security question

I was checking the security under system tools and I found
this: A trusted logon process has registered with the
Local Security Authority. This logon process will be
trusted to submit logon requests.
logon process name: RASMAN

Any idea what this might be and how I get ride of it?

This is normal. RASMAN is a system service that handles
remote access (basically it gets used whenever you
connect to the Internet).

Hi Theresa,

RASMAN is Remote Access Connection Manager service. If you like using
network connection then let it be :-)

No, you need all of them. There is no such thing as an unhackable
computer, but there is no such thing as enough security either. You should
always use 1) antivirus software 2) windows update and 3) a firewall (and
only one per type, i.e. don't use two software firewalls or two antivirus
programs at the same time)
Popups? If you're talking about web ads, get a better browser: microsoft
internet explorer is by far one of the worst, if not *the* worst, internet
browser (not like you have a choice: other browsers have difficulties cause
microsoft likes to try to maintain their virtual monopoly on your system).
Netscape/Mozilla/Konqueror have built-in popup blocking, and Mozilla's
selective blocking is by far the best (i.e. "block all except the ones I
tell you not to"). Popup-blockers for internet explorer typically 1) screw
up internet explorer 2) turn out to be, themselves, spyware/adware.

Q. WHY DON'T FISH GO NEAR COMPUTERS?

A. They're afraid of getting caught in the Net.
