Self collasping start menu items when not in use?

Default Self collasping start menu items when not in use?

Can not for the life of me remember how this is done.
Any help is greatly appreciated

Hi,

Right click on the taskbar and switch to classic view.
Ensure that you enable "Show personalized menus".

You need to revert to the classic start menu in order to do this. Right
click on the start button, select properties, change to Classic Start menu,
hit customize, and ensure that the bottom check box in the advanced options
(Use Personalized Menus) is checked.
