send to menu does not work

Default send to menu does not work

right click on any desktop icon or any application and a
menu appears with "open, run as, send to, properties. etc"
PROBLEM: when the mouse pointer drags across or just
touches the "SEND TO" option, the computer immediately
goes to wallpaper and then to desktop with all my icons.
I cannot get the opportunity to click on send to. This
is the second time this has happened in 3 weeks. The
first time we tried many different fixes including O.S.
repair but finally we deleted and reinstalled the
operating system. Of course we then had to reinstall
the application software and all else! This did cure the
problem. But now I have the same problem revisited, and
am reluctant to go with a reinstall again. I can't see
myself doing this every few weeks. Please help.

Hi

Try a System Restore back to a point before the problem started. Then have a look at any software - noted in SR - that may have been installed just before the problem started.
