Services. Exe - Bad image

Posted: 06-02-2004, 07:13 PM
When I boot up my system and XPP starts I get the error
SERVICES.EXE - BAD IMAGE The Application or DLL
C:WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\NCObjAPI.DLL is not a valid windows
image. Please check this against your installation disk"
when I select OK the next screen shows lsass.exe - system
error, the message reads THE SPECIFIED IMAGE FILE DID NOT
HAVE THE CORRECT FORMAT, IT DID NOT HAVE AN INITIAL MZ,
then I select OK and it automatically reboots and goes
through the cycle over and over. I had a devilish time
for the past 2 days trying to network my new Dell printer
A940. I had to hack the registry per KB 324757 due to
spooler subsystem problems and all was working fine until
I powered down last night. I had to do the same hack on
my laptop which is also running XPP but have not
encountered any problems. Got any solutions?
