Set permissions on users desktop via GPO

Posted: 06-16-2006, 10:49 AM
Is there a way I can set read-only permissions onto a Users Desktop folder
under their profile?

I would like to do this using AD and group policy but as the profile is
created under Documents and Settings every time the user logs in I can't set
the File Permissions using the Computer Configuration settings as I do for
All Users\Desktop

As our profiles are now retained after each logoff this needs to be applied
to the users policy rather than the machine policy?
