setting up internet firewall in XP

First, I understand that you must log in as administrator
to set up the firewall. I have tried this,however then the
options shown from MS's website do not all appear. Can
someone tell me how to set up a firewall in XP(step by
step that actually work)? Also, can XP be set up so one of
the options to log on is administrator? My son set my
computer up with 2 choices, none of which is
administrator. Getting real frustrated!!!!!
