Setting up new group with Power User capabilities

Thanks for the reference--I am going to give it a try. It seems that I can
leave the accounts set to administrator status this way so my programs would
run & then just adjust the programs and options for each user. This seems
better than trying to create a group.

I did find an article that showed how to create a group thru the registry
editor & set the security permissions that way. I did setup a Power User
group and then gave it read & write permissions and it seemed to work---I
just don't remember how I did it and I have since reloaded XP so I can't
check. I like Doug's program better though since it seems to give me more
options without messing around in the registry & causing potential problems.

You're welcome. There is a place in XP Home where it looks like you can
create a Power User group (System Properties> User). But the MS Knowledge
Base if fraught with warnings against using it in XP Home.

Doug's program is very nice and fills a great need for XP Home
administrators that want to fine tune a setup for multiple users a little bit.
I'm glad that you have found it to be useful and I'm sure Doug would be
happy about that too.
