Shared drives on XP Professional

We are attempting to create shares but need ot know the
name of the servie that needs to be started.

When we go into Computer Management/System Tools/Shares we
get the message: The followng error occurred while reading
the list of shares for Windows Clients Error 2114. The
server service isn't started.

What's the name of the service that needs to be started?

Simple file sharing is turned on and the workstation
belongs to a domain.

It's the "Server" service (lanmanserver).

Hi Lionel,

Thanks for the info. "Server" service (Lanman?) isnt
displaying in the list of local services. I went to
add/mod windows components but couldn't see anything
different to my other XP machine that has server service
started. From where do I install Lanman/Server on the
workstation?
