Sharing Tab is missing

Service Pack 2) have enabled a shared folder. Don't know what's happened,
when I first turned on the computer, the shared folder is OK, however, after
a couple of minutes, the sharing property has gone and I could not access the
folder from another computer. As well, the sharing tab was missing even I
logged on as administrator. Just wondering how to fix the problem!
Any suggestion is much appreciated!
