Showing Password in plain text in username field

To be clear, the plain text is the logon screen inside
the IBM application itself, not XP's logon screen,
correct?

If that's the case, the best way to go is to contact IBM
(if they made it, whoever wrote the application) and work
with their tech support - there's a whole host of things
that it could be.
