Shutdown hang

Posted: 01-26-2004, 10:09 PM
When shutting down xp home, the computer hangs with either
the "saving your settings" or "shutting down windows",
message. I then have to power down with the power
button. Most times the pc will start normally next boot,
but very occasionally I get an error screen telling me an
irq is not < or equal to, then its all tech talk I cannot
understand. This does not happen very often, anyone know
how to stop it alltogether ?
