Sidewinder Mouse, Vista x64 Ultimate, Always asks to install drive

Posted: 11-05-2007, 04:32 PM
The mouse is fully functional, is listed in device manager, and I can
configure it through Intellipoint.

Every time I boot up, Vista is asking to install a driver for the Sidewinder
Mouse, but never finds the driver. If I click not to install, the mouse shuts
down, and I have to reinstall from scratch. If I click ask again later or
search for drivers, the mouse functions properly.

I have uninstalled all prior mouse drivers and even tried deleting and
reinstalling, but the problem does not go away.

Thanks.
