Sims 2 Seasons userdata problem

Posted: 08-27-2007, 01:58 PM
Why can't my daughter access her user data? She created a new neighbourhood,
but the only way she can get to it is if she reloads the CD - then I have to
enter my administrator password, which is a pain to have to do each time she
wants to play. I've tried (a) making her an administrator (b) copying the
shortcut from my desktop to hers. No luck with either as the only
neighbourhoods that appear do not include her created one. My other daughter
can access hers from her desktop shortcut, although she used an existing
neighbourhood to start with.
Please help!

The neighbourhood she created is in the "my documents" on your account.
Should be a folder in there called EA Games. Just copy that folder into her
documents folder (if it asks you to overwrite, just say yes) and her
neighbourhood should appear in her game.

Hope that helps.

Ok, thanks, I've found the folder, but when I try to copy it a window appears
saying 'Are you sure you want to copy this folder without its properties?
This folder has properties that cannot be copied to the new location'. Should
I copy anyway?

That's a security feature, you can't copy your files to another users
account because that's their workspace, clicking "yes" is OK in this
situation. (As I know you've already resolved, but wanted to post it
anyways).
