| My operating system is Windows XP with IE6 web browser, why am I receiving the following messages. Is it the case of the right hand not knowing what the left hand is doing. Is there a simple solution to remove these annoying warnings. Ted 1. | This can be caused by several things. Add-On applications, adware or possibly some security software you have installed on your system, antivirus, firewall, etc. is blocking that ability of Hotmail to correctly determine your browser. To check for adware, download, install and run Ad Aware: www.lavasoftusa.com Make sure your antivirus software is up to date and run a scan of your system. Check the options of any security software you are running on your system to be sure it is not blocking something that might result in this issue. The easiest way is to turn off such applications one by one and see if you can then access Hotmail after each one. Before attempting access, be sure to clear the cache as follows: In IE, go to Tools, select Internet Options, on the General tab click Delete Cookies, Delete Files and accept the option to delete all offline content and Clear History. -- Michael Solomon MS-MVP Windows Shell/User Backup is a PC User's Best Friend DTS-L.Org: http://www.dts-l.org/ "TED" <st.brooking@virgin.net> wrote in message news:O858Hn6nDHA.2000@TK2MSFTNGP12.phx.gbl...
