Skipping Audio

For the longest time this computer I am using skips when I type. When I am
listening to music, not matter if on itunes, WMP, or streamed on the
internet, it skips everytime I hit a key. I have tried very hard to get rid
of it, researched it, and have found no solution. Its a big pain, because I
cannot listen to music if I am going to type anything. Please help!
