I did a clean reinstall of XP onto my C: drive. after the
install, the slave D: does not show up in windows
explorer. It does appear in the disk management window
(under control panel-administrative tools-computer
management-storage...) and says that is is "Healthy", but
there is no drive letter assigned, and the option to
assign/change one is greyed out. The only option
available is to delete the partition. (that would be bad!)
On the Western Digital website FAQ's the exact situation
is described, they say it's an operating system issue and
is "beyond the level of support offered by Western
digital" and to contact Microsoft.
Does anyone know about this issue, and is there a fix
(that will save my data!!! please please!)
