I have noticed that when my computer goes into sleep mode, when I wake it up,
the DVD player that had previously been recognized is no longer. I have an
new Panasonic DVD burner that is always recognized, but the problem is with
the second OEM version DVD player. It is recogized on POST and when the
computer is booted up, but once the computer goes into sleep mode, it is then
erased from the recognized componenets when I check for it under 'Computer'.
The other DVD burner is alwasy there, as are all the other hardware
components. Only the DVD player is elminated. The only way to get it
re-recognized is to reboot the computer. If I try to find it via "Add new
hardware", I get a message that states the the computer is busy try to
install new hardware, and I must wait for it to complete this task before I
try to install a second component. It obviously seems the the program is try
to reinstall the DVD player, but not doing it sucessfully. Any ideas for a
fix, besides getting a new DVD player, would be appreciated.
