I have three computers setup to fax using Windows XP Professional. One of
the machine takes twice as long to fax (sending fax) as the other two. The
fax jobs are about 20k in size. They should about 1 minute to send, but on
one machine it takes about 2 1/2 minutes. The only thing different is that
the slow machine is using a US Robotics modem. The modem is about 1 year
old, so it has the current technolgogy. I found an KB issue with Windows 95
and US Robotics modems and connection speeds (KB134974) but this does not
apply to XP and there is no Disable High Speed Transmissions in XP. Any
ideas that may cause a slow connection? Or how I could debug/troubleshoot
this issue.
Thanks,
Mike
