Re: sluggish video capture via USB from Panasonic NV - DS65

I am assuming the camera is a digital camera. Are you using USB 2.0 or USB
1.1 to capture the video? USB 1.1 just doesn't have the speed to capture
even poor image quality. USB 2.0 is better but still not able to do an
outstanding job. If your camera has IEEE1394 (firewire) you should use this
to do the capture. If the computer doesn't have this feature you could
purchase a Firewire card at your local computer supply outlet.

Make sure you have plenty of hard drive space and defragment your drive
before capturing video. How much memory is in the computer and the speed of
the computer? Both of these affect the effectiveness of the download.
